With RetailVista POS, we provide an excellent point-of-sale solution to help large volumes of customers in a short amount of time (high-volume transactions). Barcode scanning, giftcards
RetailVista POS has long supported 2D barcodes such as QR codes and DataMatrix barcodes. With DataMatrix, we offer the garden centre industry the ‘ViridiCode’ to accurately record margins on live goods. We have applied for and been granted a patent for this solution. Additionally, we are ready for the GS1 QR code, which will become mandatory in the retail industry by 2027. The great thing about these types of barcodes is that they are so-called ‘application’ barcodes, meaning that they can store more information than the EAN13 barcode alone. Think of batch numbers, expiration dates, stock indications, etc.
For various gift card providers, integrations are available so that customers can pay not only with cash or debit/credit cards but also with gift cards. Naturally, all combinations of payments are possible. RetailVista also supports ‘internal’ gift cards, which can be in the form of cards, receipts, or digital gift cards. The possibilities are virtually limitless.

In addition to gift cards, there is also extensive support for loyalty cards. Here too, integrations with various external parties are available, but RetailVista also offers its own ‘internal’ loyalty card. This card can be available as a physical card, as well as in digital form. The layout of the touchscreen screens is customizable and can be configured in almost any way. Switching back to older screens is always possible, and a specific layout can be activated for each POS terminal.
